Song-Fiction that I just wrote. Song-Fiction - A fanfiction story that uses a song...mostly a song that doesn't belong to you, but...yeah.
Title: Need You to love Me
Summary: Lyssa knows she did something wrong...something she can't forget. She goes into deep thought. Including a guitar and some song.
Author: Jessica M.
Inspiration: My Youth Pastor
Genres: Drama/General
Disclaimer: I do not own Lyssa Greenfield or the song I Need You To Love Me by BarlowGirl

15-year-old, Lyssa Greenfield sat alone on the roof top, staring out at the sky just as the sun was disappearing--seemingly--into the ocean. The sky was lit up with orange, pick, and purple colors.
Beautiful, she thought. To her it was completely amazing. She always thought about how God could have created it all. Why he created it all...
And why was he such a good, loving, God?
What have I done? She silently asked herself for the millionth time that hour. Why do I keep messing up like this?
A wave came up and crashed down into the ocean with a loud woosh, and a slight wind pushed the blonde hair from her face. A tear made it's way down Lyssa's cheek. Smack! She bent her head slightly downward to see her guitar laid flat on her crossed legs. The tear glistened like a diamond in what was left of the sunlight. A tiny smile pulled at the corner of her lips, and she gently picked up the tear with her finger tip.
Then...an idea.
Lyssa sat the guitar upright and made her self comfortable against the building. After clearing her throat, she began to softly sing:
Why? Why are you still here with me?
Didn't you see what I've done?
In my shame I want to run, and hide myself
But it's here I see the truth, I don't deserve you
She stopped for a moment, narrowing her soft green eyes as she thought about what to sing next.
But I need you to love me
And I, I won't keep my heart from you this time
And I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I Need You To Love Me
Then silence washed over her again, choking her. Then she knew what else to add:
I, I have wasted so much time
Pushing you away from me
Cause you're a God who has all things
And still you want me!
Her heart began to lighten and she began to sing even louder.
I Need You To Love Me
And I, I won't keep my heart from you this time
And I'll stop this pretending
That I can somehow deserve what I already have
Your love makes me forget what I have been
Your love makes me see who I really am
Your love makes me forget what I have been
I Need You to Love me, yeah
I Need You To Love Me, yeah
And I'll stop this pretending
That I can somehow deserve what I already have
Somehow deserve what I already have
A smile appeared upon her face and the sun disappeared completely in the horizon, and Lyssa felt happier.
"Thanks, God."

Okay, kinda cruddy, I admit...but hey...pretty good for one of my first shots at a one-chapter story.
Whatcha think about it?
